I'm Irene, a congenitally disabled white woman from southern California, now taking the first steps into digital nomadism. I am also an aspiring fiction writer. Currently, I help non-native English speakers improve their fluency.

Somehow, disability puts me outside the typical white middle class American experience just enough to be intensely critical of it and the current US, but not so much that I've lost the ability to sort of understand it. Where most middle class white Americans follow the cultural rule to dislike discussing or being into politics, it and history are two of my favorite topics. I combine that with some peculiar blend of idealistic pragmatism that isn't everyone's cup of tea. The result is a perspective that others have called distinct.
